... what's your healthy snack?

One of the lessons husband and wife have tried to teach Kid1 and Kid2 is to eat healthy snacks. Kids are going to want to snack and instead of trying to manage how many snacks, focus on the intake. At least that's the strategy in the hallway.

Some of the favs include:

  • PB on a spoon.
  • Rolled slices of turkey.
  • Fruit snacks.
  • Yogurt.
  • Cucumbers.
  • Cereal.
  • Chocolate.
Yep. You read it correctly ... chocolate. Dark chocolate in moderate portions can have a positive impact on your health. So, there you have it. That's our story, and we're sticking to it. What's your favorite healthy snack? Help wife with some new choices for the summer ... post your 'comment' below.

We go through a ton of Blueberries. Our 3 year old loves them and they have a heavy dose of antioxidants.

Love blueberries ... great idea. This made mama think of strawberries. She cleaned and cut them tonight for an after school snack tomorrow. Thanks, Brandon, for the inspiration.
